Meet Juan. Born in 1995, this guy strives to make people happy and will do whatever it takes to make you laugh or bring a smile to your face. We met Juan at Paint Box Kids in Pasadena, California to learn about environmental art. Juan made a robot out of recyclable materials.
We found Juan to be active, playful and affectionate. Some of his hobbies are drawing, working on puzzles, reading books, playing with toy cars and spending playtime outside with other children. He has a great appetite and, like any growing boy, he loves to eat.
When Juan is having a good time, he's focused and he enthusiastically worked on his art project. Some kids have a more difficult past than others and when you're also expressive and opinionated, it can lead to some clashes when it comes to behavior. Juan is a good listener and he will follow very clear instructions. Juan is receiving therapeutic services and is making good progress.
Juan does have some medical challenges and receives the best possible medical care. Juan has an inactive brain tumor that has caused some facial paralysis, some hearing loss and loss of vision in one eye. He will need consistent medical follow up to assess his condition.
Despite these challenges, Juan leads a fairly normal life. He's a happy and active child and brings much affection into a family compilation.
