Harland is a charming boy. A creative child that responds well to affection and praise. Harland loves writing songs, drawing, and singing. He has an engaging sense of humor, and enjoys making people laugh. Harland is in middle school and needs academic assistance in order to reach his full potential. He speaks his mind, and feels comfortable giving his opinion.

He is legally blind and has Albinism. Harland has difficulty controlling impulses, which gets in his way of being able to develop positive adult or peer relationships. Having had multiple placements, it is understandable that Harland struggles with controlling his anger.

Harland needs a family that will provide close supervision and structure to help him set boundaries. He is emotionally challenged. Therefore, he also needs the family to help him stay on course with the therapeutic intervention.

If you are interested in providing a loving permanent home for Harland, please contact Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
