Melissa is a child who loves to give and receive hugs. She enjoys participating in Special Olympics, doing arts and crafts and listening to music.
Melissa is beginning to learn to express her feelings in a positive rather than negative manner. Special classes, therapy and medication are in place to help her. Her special education classes are for both behavioral issues and academics.
Melissa would do best with an experienced family, one who has dealt with troubled teenagers in the past. Positive attention, a very structured environment and immediate redirection work best for her.
