Keith

Keith is a young teen who aspires to be a doctor or a lawyer. This young teen likes science and social studies and excels in math. He enjoys a variety of activities and looks forward to sharing his interests with a loving and supportive family who will help him make sound choices regarding his future.

Enrolled in an emotional support class, Keith receives multiple therapies to help him to cope and improve his interpersonal and social skills. He reads and writes at grade level and is especially eager to start pre-algebra in math. Although he really excels in math, Keith favorite subjects are science and social studies. Sometimes Keith can be disruptive and need redirecting. He has made a consciousness effort to improve those behaviors and has made significant strides with the help of a reward system.

Playing video games is Keith's favorite activity, and a close second: reading--both fiction and fantasy books. He especially loves Harry Potter books. Keith also likes to play basketball, soccer and karate. Playing collegiate football might be an option for Keith, as he loves to both watch and play the physical contact sport. Engaging in such physical activity would surely work up one's healthy appetite and Keith certainly enjoys eating. His favorite foods are pizza and macaroni and cheese. It is not often that Keith gets the opportunity to frequent a nice restaurant for fine dining but that is something he thoroughly enjoys and would like to do with his new family. Demonstrating a commitment to positive change, Keith shows lots of promise for the future. He responds favorably to attention and genuine interests in the things that he most enjoys. A dedicated and patient family trained to deal with behavioral challenges will be most beneficial. The family who can make Keith their priority will be most effective in helping him to make steady progress and reach his ambitious yet attainable goals.
