Bright, conversational and inquisitive, Jason ("JJ") is an engaging and pleasant young man. JJ wants and is deserving of a family to make his life more complete and fulfilling. Enrolled in an age-appropriate grade in regular education classes, JJ enjoys and excels in school. He relates well to both his teachers and peers. Although he likes school, JJ does enjoy days off when he can choose how he would like to spend his time. JJ interests include computer games, magic, collecting baseball cards and reading Harry Potter books.

Although not involved in any organized sports, JJ is excited to view sports games on television or in person. JJ recently had his first experience in learning to ski. He found skiing to be much more challenging than he anticipated and he was ready to call it quits. However, with the encouragement of others he decided to give it another try. Once he was able to maintain even footing and maneuver in the equipment, JJ found that he actually enjoyed skiing. He walked away from the experience feeling proud and empowered that he has the ability to achieve great things.

JJ has experienced lost in his young life and in the past he struggled with how to express himself without anger and relied on medications to help control his behavior. However, he has made such significant progress, that he no longer takes medication and has learned to constructively express his feelings in a positive manner. JJ is a dynamic and very likeable young man who would be a wonderful addition to a family.

The stability that comes from having a dependable family will be positive reinforcement for JJ, who has had his share of disappointments. JJ hopes to work with computers in his future as well as being part of a supportive and loving family that will help him in achieving his goals. JJ has two siblings that he does not currently see, but he is hopeful that things will change in the future. A family that will be supportive of JJ in reestablishing those important relationships will be helpful.
