Meet Diamond a sweet, outgoing, teen who is in need of a forever family. This young lady participates in a number of activities and really enjoys singing and dancing. Diamond is in special education classes at her school and does extremely well, regularly making the honor roll. She at times has challenges following directions and has to be reminded to respect adults.
She does exhibit remorse when she acts out and is working on improving this behavior. Diamond will do best in a family where she is able to receive a lot of attention to meet her emotional and developmental needs. She will also benefit from having a family that is able to set consistent boundaries for her and will not respond negatively to her testing limits. Diamond has been in her current placement for almost 2 years, and will be sad to say goodbye to some of her friends. However, she is excited about finding a family that will be hers forever. She will benefit tremendously from the security and stability of a permanent home, and most of all, by being loved and valued as a daughter. In Diamond's own words," I want a mommy." She is keenly aware that what she is missing most in her life is family and is anxious to become a part of a family that will treasure her for the fabulous girl that she is!
