As an excellent student who applies himself in school, young Gerard is very goal-oriented and intentional about his future. He has a host of different interests as well as some ambitious goals for his life. He is polite, charming and has a smile that will melt your heart.
Despite experiencing loss and trauma in his young life, he has exhibited great resilience. He needs and would greatly benefit from a family that can provide structure, individualized attention and a strong support system. A permanent supportive family can help to keep Gerard anchored and on target to fulfill his destiny for greatness. Gerard enjoys school and his favorite subject is Social Studies. He gets along well with both his teachers and his peers. For this honor student, school also provides an opportunity to be with friends and engage in physical activity during gym time.
Already looking to the future, Gerard plans to attend college after graduating from high school. His long term goals include playing pro football in the NFL and he has considered a backup plan as a lawyer so that he can help others that cannot help themselves. With an affinity for being active, Gerard likes a variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball, Martial Arts and sometimes fishing.
Possessing a strong faith, Gerard also likes to attend church and he hopes that his new family will share similar principles. Gerard loves to laugh and enjoys comedians like Martin Lawrence. Reading, watching the Disney Channel and going to amusement parks are other activities that Gerard enjoys well. As a growing young man who needs his strength and energy to stay as active as he is, Gerard has a healthy appetite and has a special liking for Chinese food. Goal-oriented and well-rounded, Gerard has a great future ahead of him.
Through therapy, he has worked diligently to overcome some behavioral challenges as a result of separation isses he has experienced. He is bright, engaging and has a lot of enriching qualities to bring to a family. Academically, he is off to an exciting start and he needs the love, guidance and support of a permanent family to continue on this positive path. Gerard is most deserving of a family that will help nurture him and his dreams, ensuring that they come to light and unfold more than he could ever imagine!
