Steccie is an active, bright teen who considers himself to be a people person, as he is social and talkative. Steccie loves almost anything to do with cars and he hopes to some day design and build them. Steccie likes to spend his time outdoors, particularly hiking, camping, fishing and riding his bike. He also enjoys football, basketball and baseball.

Steccie has a real affection for animals and would love to own a dog some day. Currently he has a 2 year old Tiger Striped Oscar fish named Peter. Steccie is in the 10th grade at a special school on the grounds of the group home where he lives. He describes himself as being an "okay student." Steccie has overcome many challenges and is continually working on himself.

Steccie has thought a lot about having a family and what would be important to him. He would like a family that has open communication and "family time." He knows that showing love means setting limits and structure. Believe it or not, his ideal family would enforce rules such as curfew, emphasize homework before fun time and give him chores! Most of all, his ideal family would want to provide him with a permanent loving home to grow up in.
