Steven

Steven is a very bright and engaging boy who may initially appear shy, but after a few minutes he quickly reveals his great sense of humor. According to his worker, he and Steven have "hilarious" conversations. This active child prefers to be engaged in activities. This may include interacting with his friends in the neighborhood, or shooting hoops, billiards, playing video games or checkers at the local Boys and Girls Club. At home he likes to watch comedies or listen to music, especially rap and rhythm and blues.

Enrolled in a regular class, Steven is recognized as being academically gifted. He does, however, need to improve on completing assignments. Steven's favorite subject is reading. He even has his own personal library of books. In addition, Steven has an interest in science, which is enhanced by his curiosity in learning about how things work or how they are constructed.

Monthly visits with three biological brothers and one sister are very important to Steven. It would be an asset to have a family who will support continued contact. Steven is expected to do well with a one or two parent family, with or without other children in the home.
