"Jay," as his friends call him, is an active and personable teenager who enjoys gym and playing sports. He was previously on the school's baseball team and now he plans to join the basketball team next.

Jay gets along well with adults and his peers. At times, he can be a little rowdy as he will mimick the behaviors of others in order to fit in but he will stop when reprimanded. In school, Jay is enrolled in special education where he is making good progress. Jay enjoys cooking, helping others, sports, games and riding his bike.

Therapy is helping him deal with behavioral challenges resulting from trauma in his past. He would benefit greatly from having a permanent, loving and patient family that would provide a stable,structured environment for him. He needs time to trust again. Jay is close to his sister, who has been adopted, and it is important that they remain in contact.
