Initially reserved, Audrey can be polite and responds well to one-on-one attention. She has had some behavioral challenges due to issues of abandonment, separation and loss. Therapy and support received in a previous foster care home have been instrumental in helping Audrey to make positive change in reducing her aggression and impulsive behaviors, as well as expressing her feelings in a constructive way.
Enrolled in a small classroom setting, Audrey gets along well with her peers and works well in one on one situations with adults. Audrey has a good sense of humor and enjoys comedy shows and jokes. She is a typical teen who loves trips to the mall to purchase a coordinated outfit or two. A fashion and hair fanatic, Audrey recently enjoyed a special visit to a local beauty school where she received instruction on styling techniques and was treated to a manicure.
This young lady, who has the ability to articulate and engage in easy conversation, also loves to indulge in Chinese cuisine. Audrey aspires to be a cosmetologist in her future. She is deserving of the opportunity to realize her fullest potential and all her dreams but she should not have to do it alone. This young lady's behavioral struggles can be attributed to the lack of loving support, consistency, and guidance that she needs in order to move beyond past hurts and disappointments.
Audrey is need of an experienced and well-structured family that is committed to advocate for her emotional and educational special needs. Although open to all families, Audrey would really excel with a single mom who is strong and firm but willing to give Audrey a lot of individual attention. This support will undoubtedly help her in blossoming into a fearless young woman ready to tackle challenges and persevere in spite of them!
