What typical young boy wouldn’t like big monster trucks? Joseph is awed by these larger-than-life machines and what it takes to drive one. While Joseph got to fire one of these up, he’s not quite ready to drive so in the meantime this adventurous kid enjoys soccer and rock-climbing.
Joseph’s adventure for the day was to learn the inner workings of one of these trucks under the supervision of champion driver Rick Swanson. Rick took Joseph under his wing and Joseph was part of “Team Obsession” for the afternoon and will be attending a show this weekend. Joseph learned about the inner workings of the truck and all matters of safety needed to work one of these behemoths.
Although Joseph likes cars, what he more realistically sees for his future is to become a press photographer. Unfortunately, growing up in foster care often limits opportunities to pursue dreams or to experience new possibilities. The children in foster care need opportunities to discover new possibilities as well as for someone to reinforce in them the idea of “Yes, you can!”
