Jarrel is a passionate athlete. His dream is to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina and then continue on to the NBA. For now, he is content to take his place as the top scorer on his high school team. Those who know Jarrel say that he is an example to his teammates on the court and, his natural leadership extends to his classes and residential program, as well.
Jarrel does well in school, especially in his favorite subjects--science and math. Some day, Jarrel would like to become a lawyer. Right now, he is studying cosmetology and displays quite a knack for cutting hair. Jarrel is friendly and easygoing. When he’s not dominating the court, you will find him playing video games, watching "Family Guy," listening to Lil’Wayne, or reading Harry Potter.
Jarrel hopes to be adopted by a loving and stable family with parents who will encourage and support him and be in a home where his athletic talent will be nurtured. He would enjoy being in a family with younger siblings or pets. It is especially important to him that he maintain contact with his sister. Jarrel hopes to have a family who will stand behind him as he continues to pursue his passions and develop his abilities.
