Kuame is an incredible young man. He is unable to speak due to a medical accident, yet communicates by writing on a notepad or using the application on his laptop that reads the words he types.

He is very adequate in caring for himself and is very independent. Kuame loves spending time with people. When he grows up, he wants to be a football player; for now, he loves playing any sport and being with his friends in school.

In school, he benefits from special education services. His strongest—and favorite—subject is math, but this inquisitive learner also is computer savvy and able to read and write. Kuame loves playing video games and communicating about the various Marvel Super Heroes.

Kuame’s boundless energy would be an asset to any family, but he would especially love to be in a home with siblings. A family environment that keeps him engaged will allow this truly remarkable teen to flourish. All families will be considered.
