How Wednesday's Child Works

I Saw A Wednesday's Child I'm Interested In. What Should I Do Next?

Click on Interest Form at the top of any page on this site. Under the section Home Study, indicate whether or not you have a completed home study. Fill out the form online. Click on Submit.

If you do not have a homestudy, use the form to ask for a free information packet by email and for a list of agencies in your state. Click on Submit.

What Will Happen After I Submit The Interest Form?

* If you have a current homestudy and you expressed an interest in a specific child, your information will be sent to the Wednesday's Child program in the child's city.

* If you do not have a homestudy and you requested an information packet, you will receive an email with information on getting started in adoption, and a second email with a list of agencies in your state. Use the list to find an agency where you can complete the homestudy (approval) process. You will not receive more information about a child until your homestudy is complete.

I Saw A Child On Tv Who Is Not On The Site. How Do I Find Out More?

Children shown on this website are from 5 cities where the Freddie Mac Foundation sponsors Wednesday's Child television features: Atlanta, Los Angeles New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.

* If you saw the child very recently in one of these 5 cities, the child should be added to the website shortly. Adding a child to the site is sometimes delayed due to technical problems. Check back in a few days.

* If you saw the child several weeks or months ago in one of the 5 cities, the child may have been removed from the website because a family has been selected.

* If you saw the child on a Wednesday's Child program in a different city, the child will not appear on this site. Please contact the television station where you saw the child for more information.
