Samantha, born 10/95, is a friendly Caucasian child who genuinely cares about others. She has a great sense of humor and loves telling jokes, talking with her siblings and socializing with friends. Samantha also enjoys reading, listening to music, singing, dancing, swimming, interacting with horses, taking photos and scrapbooking. Due to a traumatic past, she has learned several inappropriate behaviors. However, as a resilient child, Samantha learns from her mistakes and continues to make progress with therapy and medication. Enrolled in special education classes for children with emotional and behavioral issues, her academic needs are also being met. Science is Samantha?s favorite subject and she aspires to be a medical doctor. Samantha is open to adoption and prefers a family who has pets and will allow her to maintain contact with her siblings. She needs a committed, loving and supportive family who can provide a safe, stable, nurturing and well structured environment. The ideal family will understand loss and grief issues and display a wealth of patience as Samantha transitions into a new home and develops a sense of trust and acceptance. She needs to be the only or youngest child in the home. Ongoing therapy and contact with siblings being planned for separately are necessary.
