Ashley

Outgoing and personable, Ashley is a beautiful young lady who is enjoyable and pleasant to be around. Although she can be quiet and shy, once she is comfortable, Ashley flashes her bright smile and is very talkative. She would love to a have a family that likes to have fun and enjoy doing things together. Currently enrolled in 7th grade classes, Ashley enjoys the comfort of a small structured environment which allows her to take full advantage of extra help or attention when needed. Always concerned about her work, Ashley strives to do her best in class and is very helpful to the staff. Her favorite subjects are Math and Science. Ashley belongs to the Drill team and enjoys this activity very much- as she gets along well with both her peers and coaches. She does receive some speech and language therapy twice a week. Ashley is easily amused by others and she enjoys being funny and singing for others. Overall she is a fun and energetic girl who is easy to develop a rapport with. She has numerous interests which include hanging out at the playground, playing board games and watching television. Ashley likes to listen to music and draw in her spare time. She also enjoys attending church on Sunday and is genuinely happy and contented to spend time with family and friends. Ashley loves to eat seafood, pizza, salt and vinegar chips, cookies and junk foods. Looking to the future, Ashley hopes to become a nail and hair technician. She enjoys cosmetology but has also expressed an interest in clothing and shoe design as well. Her plan is to go to school and learn more about both of these industries. Ashley has been challenged in maintaining positive interpersonal relationships. She has made remarkable progress in decreasing attention seeking behaviors, as she wants the approval and friendship of others. Ashley is a sweet girl who would be a wonderful asset to any family. She is bright, outgoing and relishes spending time with those most important to her. She would greatly benefit from a committed family who can nurture and support her in exceeding her goals. Ashley has two siblings, both whom are in separate placements and currently in therapy. Visits are on hold momentarily until they are well enough to resume. Ashley is also well bonded with her current foster mother and she would like to maintain some contact with her after being adopted.
